The latest installment from Marvel sees Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteer to participate in an experimental program that turns him into a Super Soldier! Watch the trailer as Captain America wages war on the evil HYDRA

Captain America: The First Avenger tells the story of one of Marvel Comics most enduring creations. Steve Rogers is a patriotic young American who is desperate to join the US Army. However patriotic, young Rogers is, he is rejected from serving in the army as he is too puny.

Undeterred he volunteers to join an experimental programme that aims to create the ultimate Super Soldier known as Captain America. Although physically not the ideal candidate, he proves he has the strength of character and determination needed to transform him from a weedy kid from Brooklyn into Captain America.

As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes and Peggy Carther to battle the HYDRA organisation headed by the villainous Red Skull in an adventure spanning war torn Europe.

The First Avenger is the final stage in a long standing project to create a Super Hero team featuring different characters from across the Marvel Universe. Next year Marvel will be releasing The Avengers, a film about a group of Super Heroes featuring Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk all of whom have starred in their own films over the last 6 years.
